SIECA invests $367 million in Central America

The Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration, SIECA, has invested some $367 million between 2013 and 2014 in cooperation projects.
The institution highlighted 27 economic integration programs, 32 social integration projects, 10 security plans and 12 projects aimed at strengthening institutions and democracy.
The Food Security plan alone has benefitted more than 3 million people in the region, said Victoria Velázquez, SIECA's general secretary.
