Siepac will slash energy costs, says top US official

Central America, which relies heavily on diesel and fuel oil for power generation, is now in an ideal position to cut costs by introducing alternative sources like natural gas and renewable energy.

Robin Dunnigan, deputy U.S. assistant secretary for energy diplomacy said the Siepac electrical electricity system already links 37 million people in six countries.
