Skilled jobs go wanting in Panama’s building boom

One of the major bottlenecks facing the development of Panama’s industry is the shortage of skilled labor.

Companies advertise for employees but often no suitable candidates can be found.

The country is swamped by projects in public works that require skilled professionals to execute them. But the average Panamanian has unlikely to match the required skills.
