The structure of Central America’s economy depends on small businesses, said Rafael Señán, the European Union’s representative in Guatemala.
Señán was speaking on a forum on support for small businesses. The meeting was inaugurated in Antigua by the Guatemalan vice-president, Rafael Estrada.
Some 80 percent of all jobs in Central America are created by small and medium-sized businesses, Señán said.
