Smuggling of gasoline and diesel from Mexico to Guatemala grows by 40 percent

Contraband in fuel from Mexico to Guatemala has grown by 40 percent so far this year, the Guatemalan Ministry of Energy and Mines reported.

The 150,000 gallons a day being smuggled in 2010, has risen this year to 200,000.

Most of the fuel being smuggled is regular gasoline and diesel.
