Software piracy in Costa Rica is worse than in Colombia or Brazil, say consultants

Software piracy in Costa Rica has surpassed that of Colombia and Brazil.

According to a study by the IDC consultancy, almost six of all computers in Costa Rica use pirated software.

Miguel Sciancalepore, director of Microsoft's intellectual property division for Latin America, says the annual loss is estimated at $55 million.
