Solid UN backing for peace process

Despite major challenges and the kidnapping of a United Nations employee, the UN Security Council “unanimously and solidly” continues to support Colombia’s peace process.
Security Council chairman Elbio Roselli of Uruguay couldn’t have been clearer in sending a message to the Colombian people that the Security Council stands behind President Juan Manuel Santos‘ efforts to pursue peace after meeting the Colombian head of state in Bogota.
