Solutions sought to failure of Panama Colon airport
Tuesday, May 19, 2015

Alternate uses are being sought for Enrique A. Jiménez Airport in Colón, which was built in 2013 during the administration of President Ricardo Martinelli at a cost of $58.3 million.
The facility was supposed to develop into a major hub for passenger and cargo flights, but that has never happened. Currently, it handles an average of two flights per day, and those are small private planes.
