Some 61 percent of electricity in Central America is generated from renewables

Some 61 percent of electricity in Central America is generated from renewable resources, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean has found.
Demand has risen by 9.8 percent in Panama, by 3.1 percent in Nicaragua and 1 percent in Guatemala.
It fell, however in El Salvador by 4.3 percnet, Honduras by 3.2 percent and Costa Rica by 1.9 percent.
