South American tourists in Nicaragua spend less

South American tourists who visited Nicaragua last year spent less compared with 2012.

During 2013, tourists from South America spent 13.2 percent less up to the third quarter, compared with the same period a year before, the country's central bank said.

The figure represents a daily spending average of $71, down from $82 in 2012.
