Spain and European Union contribute $94 million to fight poverty in El Salvador

Spain’s foreign-aid agency and the European Union announced a contribution of close on $94 million to the campaign to fight poverty launched by El Salvador’s government.
Both institutions signed a “letter of the commitment to work together with the Program for Communities in Solidarity”.
The program includes bonuses for health and education for poor families, a basic pension for those aged 70 and over, improvements in infrastructure for communities, work training and loans for micro-business.
