Spain has promised aid funds of $265 million to El Salvador over the next four years.
The Spanish Secretary of State for International Cooperation, Soraya Rodríguez, stated that the level of charity funds ploughed into the central American country would not be reduced, despite the global recession.
Rodríguez stressed that El Salvador could continue to look upon Spain as a “faithful friend” who would help out in times of trouble.
