Spain’s FCC wins $86 million contract for dam construction in Panama. Company already involved in Metro and Canal expansion

Spanish construction company FCC has been awarded an $86 million contract for the Bajo Frío dam in Panama.

The project adds to a growing portfolio of FCC projects in Panama, where it is constructing the Metro and taking part in the expansion of the Panama Canal.

The dam is being built in Chiriqui province, near the border with Costa Rica. The hydroelectric plant will have an estimated output of 58 megawatts.
