Natural Gas Fenosa has reached an agreement with the Nicaraguan government that will see the Spanish company provide much-needed electricity to rural areas of Central America’s largest country.
As part of the agreement, Natural Gas Fenosa will construct six substations and install around 200 km of high-voltage power lines.
Mexican news agency Notimex has said the investment in this project will reach $380 million, with funds coming from various institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation.
