Spain’s Riu opens $120 million urban hotel for Panama

Spain’s Riu hotel chain is to open its first hotel in Panama City next month. Investment is costing $120 million.
The Riu Panamá Plaza will be the first of the Riu Plaza brand, a new line introduced by the company for urban locations.
Riu has been in the hotel business for 57 years, but its previous experience has been limited to vacation locations.
