Spanish Acciona builds $125 million wind farm in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, together with local group Ecoenergía

Spain’s Acciona will design, construct and operate the Chiripa wind park in Costa Rica following an investment of $125 million.
The wind farm will be built together with the local company Grupo Ecoenergía, which holds a 35 percent stake in the development company.
The Chiripa wind park is planned for the municipality of Tilarán, Guanacaste province, in north-western Costa Rica, and will consist of 33 Acciona Windpower 1.5 megawatt wind turbines.
