Spanish firms stake $700 million on Costa Rica

Spanish companies are increasing their stake in Costa Rica. In the coming years, they have pledged to invest some $700 million in the country.

The main sectors they are involved in are construction, telecoms, insurance, renewable energy and tourism.

In addition, trade between the two countries grew by 30 percent year-on-year in September after three years of sustained growth.
