Starbucks seeks to open first Panama store
U.S. coffee company Starbucks is planning to open its first store in Panama by the end of this year or early 2015, said Liz de Ávila, director of El Salvadoran restaurant chain operator CFA.
De Ávila said Starbucks is seeking a more aggressive expansion in Central America, bringing its number of stores in the region up from nine to 20.
CFA operates Pizza Hut, KFC, Wendy's and China Wok restaurants, and signed an agreement to operate Starbucks in Central America in April 2011.
