Store brands gain popularity in Central America

Store brands are gaining popularity in Central America over top or premium brands.

"The region's homes are buying more but showing a smarter approach to spending by buying stores' own brands," said Vivan Galvéz, consultant at Kantar Worldpanel Central America.

The sector where the change is more apparent is in supermarket foods.
