Strike hits Panama Canal expansion in final straight

Just as the expansion of the Panama Canal was entering its final six months, the Suntracs union of construction workers announced a strike.

Six thousand workers are expected to walk off the job from Wednesday morning. The construction consortium says it is prepared to negotiate.
