Summit aims to launch rebuilding after storm

The presidents of Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Costa Rica are meeting today with representatives of the other Central American countries in an effort to launch reconstruction of the region after rains caused 110 lives and substantial damage.

Those attending the meeting are Álvaro Colom of Guatemala, Mauricio Funes of El Salvador, Porfirio Lobo of Honduras, Laura Chinchila of Costa Rica, and emissaries from the rest of the countries.

Each country will present a report on storm damage and the resources that are required for repairs.
