Súper del Barrio offers low prices and loyalty in poor neighborhoods
Súper del Barrio, a low-cost supermarket chain, is advancing in a Guatemalan sector dominated by Walmart.
The company has 13 supermarkets throughout the country and seven more are planned by the end of this year.
Súper del Barrio says its strength comes from its customers in low-income neighborhoods, with discounts for loyalty.
