Support for canal is strong in Nicaragua

Some 41 percent of people in Nicaragua strongly support the Chinese-promoted project of a canal between the oceans, according to a CID Gallup poll.

Some 21 percent of this consulted gave the project moderate backing, 17 percent said they felt little support, 17 percent backed it not at all, and the others were “don’t knows”.
