Taiwan donates helicopters to Guatemala for relief

Taiwan donated two helicopters to diplomatic ally Guatemala to help it better respond to natural disasters, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Two decommissioned UH-1H utility helicopters were dispatched to Guatemala after being overhauled, and Taiwan also helped the Central American ally revamp two of its own choppers.

The helicopters will be used to undertake relief and rescue operations during natural disasters such as earthquakes.
