Taiwan leads battle against citrus disease in region

Taiwan has signed an agreement through the International Cooperation and Development Fund, to help Central America fight HLB, a disease that affects citrus crops.

The agreement will help Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize and Dominican Republic fight and prevent the disease.

It also includes planting healthy seeds in Panama and El Salvador, the two countries which have not yet been affected by the disease.
