Taiwanese President to visit Panama and El Salvador

Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou kicked off a seven-day visit to Panama and El Salvador June 29, vowing to take bilateral relations to new heights.

“This visit will further strengthen our friendship with Latin American diplomatic allies and advance our cooperative partnerships for mutual prosperity,” Ma said.

The Taiwanese leader will attend the inauguration of Panamanian President-elect Juan Carlos Varela.
