Task is urgent: Costa Rica's economy has to get back on track

A jump start for the Costa Rican economy and a boost in jobs are the main targets facing President Carlos Alvarado as he begins the second year of his term, according to business leaders who have given him a mixed reception since his 2018 election.

Infrastructure has to be improved and a reduction in red tape are needed to provide a new impulse for the nation's economy.
