Technology companies urged to join new industrial project in Cartago, Costa Rica

An ambitious industrial project aims to reactivate the economy of Cartago, near San José, the leading factory zone in Costa Rica.

The new Cartago special economic zone is being organized by the Costa Rica Technological Institute. By using the rules on free zones, technology companies are being invited to establish themselves in the zone. Nearly 11,000 hectares of land has been earmarked for offices, hotels and shopping malls to receive the newcomers.
