Telefónica reaches 12 million subscribers

Spanish telecoms company Telefónica has reached 12 million subscribers in Central America.

The company invested $172 million last year to improve its infrastructure in the five regional countries where it has operations.

The investment went towards boosting its territorial coverage, increasing its network capacity and improving mobile Internet speed, said Osman Rodríguez, Telefónica director for the region.
