Televisa reports 42 percent increase in profits

Mexican broadcaster Televisa said that its third-quarter net profit surged 41.5 percent from a year ago, boosted by a drop in financing costs.

Televisa earned $222 million in the July-September period, while financing costs fell $59 million.

The world's biggest producer of Spanish-language content posted an 8.7 percent rise in quarterly revenue, driven by pay television services.
