Oil company Texaco will invest some $40 million in Panama this year, said the company's general director, Aristides Chiriatti.
Every year, the company expands two or three stations in Panama, which cost up to $2 million each.
However, most of the investment is going towards its terminal on the Atlantic coast, where the company is preparing to start producing ethanol this year.
