Thousands march against Bogotá peace policy

Monday, April 4, 2016

The political opposition, led by former President Alvaro Uribe, staged protests across Colombia this weekend, with tens of thousands of people taking to the streets to criticize President Juan Manuel Santos's administration and its peace negotiations with leftist guerrilla groups.

Long lines of people marched in different cities on Saturday to protest the administration's peace policy and criticize the sale of state-owned power company Isagen, corruption, the arrests of Uribe supporters and tax increases.
