Thousands march against Guatemalan president

Some 5.000 protesters marched in downtown Guatemala City demanding the resignation of the country's corruption-plagued president, Otto Pérez, who lost a fight for immunity from prosecution earlier this week.

On Friday, a Congressional committee recommended fully lifting the immunity and allowing an investigation to proceed.
