Tourism returns in force to Mexico after a decline

Tourists who visited Mexico during the first two months of the year spent 8 percent more compared to the same period last year, the Bank of Mexico said.

The figure means tourists spent $2.43 billion during those first two months, while the bank estimates each visitor spent approximately $874.

The number of tourists who arrived by plane grew 3.3 percent during January and February this year, compared to the same period last year.
