Tourism to Guatemala surges 11.4 percent

Leisure travel to Guatemala is booming according to recent data from the Guatemalan Tourism Institute, Inguat.

The country welcomed 744,890 international visitors between January and April of 2014, an 11.4 percent increase over the same period in 2013.

Arrivals were particularly strong in April, when Guatemala registered a 26 percent visitor increase over the same month in 2013.
