Tourism to Nicaragua up 7.1 percent

Nicaragua received more than 965,000 tourists from January to September, said Mayra Salinas, president of the Nicaraguan tourism institute.

The figure is 7.1 percent higher than the same period last year.

"The tourism sector continues to grow, and we are optimistic about reaching our goal of 1.3 million visitors this year," Salinas said.
