Tourists spend 4.7 percent more in Guatemala
Tourist spending in Guatemala grew 4.7 percent during the first nine months of this year, compared to the same period last year.
From January to September, tourists visiting the country spent $1.07 billion, according to Guatemala's tourism authority.
Guatemala receives most of its visitors from El Salvador, the United States, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Belize.
