Tourists spend less time in Nicaragua

Tuesday, December 2, 2014

The average stay of a tourist in Nicaragua dropped from 7.9 to 6.9 days in the third quarter this year, compared to the same period last year, the central bank said.

The drop is due to a 22 percent fall in visitors from the Central American region.

But the average amount tourists spend per day in the country went up from $43 to $64 in the same period.
