Thursday, October 21, 2010

El Salvador announced that it filed a complaint against the Dominican Republic before the World Trade Organization, for charging tariffs that it says violate Cafta.

Economy minister Héctor Dada Hirezi said the complaint stems from a 38 percent tariff on synthetic sacks and tubular weave that his country sells to Dominican industries.

The measure also affects Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica, which also a filed a complaint before the World Trade Organization.
