Trade is driving force for Panama’s banks
Trade in Panama is leading the nation’s economic dynamism and expanding the growth of the banking system’s credit portfolio.
The net profits of Panama’s banks from January through August came to $885 million, an increase of $175 million a year earlier.
During that time the private sector’s domestic credit came to $26.9 million, a 14.2 percent increase.
