Trade plummets in Panama's Colón zone
Wednesday, July 23, 2014

Panama's Colón Free Trade Zone reported a 15 percent drop in trade in the first half of the year, compared with the same period last year.
During the period, the zone registered trade worth $11.27 billion.
The zone's crisis is worsened by an ongoing dispute over a multi-million debt with Venezuela and a reexport fee on shoes and textiles with Colombia.
