TransCanada to double size of its gas business in Mexico

TransCanada Corp. will double the size of its natural gas business in Mexico after winning a $2.1-billion contract to build and operate a new major pipeline in the country.

the company had been awarded a contract, along with a Mexican joint-venture partner, to build and operate an 800-kilometre pipeline that would ship 2.6 billion cubic feet of natural gas into the country’s main gas transmission system.
