Transnationals show interest in information on oil prospects in Honduras

Two companies have bought the rights to seismic studies conducted by Norway’s PGS on the possibilities of finding oil off the Atlantic coast of Honduras.

According to the authorities of the nation’s Energy Department, one of the companies interested is Spain’s Repsol.

PGS has the exclusive right to sell the information in the seismic studies but not to explore or develop any oil.
