United States is the leading travel destination for vacationers from Costa Rica

More Costa Ricans are vacationing in the United States, while Panama is the second most important foreign destination for the nation’s vacationers.
Records indicate that last July 150.000 Costa Ricans travelled outside of Costa Rica. Visiting family or friends, shopping, business and pleasure are the motives for travel in North America.
The United States also offers airline travel at much lower cost than trips to Europe or South America.
