United States may extend to other regional nations the Partnership for Growth program that was launched in El Salvador
The United States is not ruling out the possibility of extending the Partnership for Growth development program recently launched in El Salvador. Other countries in the region might benefit, said José Fernández, the US undersecretary of State for economic affairs.
Fernández pointed out that El Salvador was chosen for implementation of the program under the leadership of Mauricio Funes, the president of El Salvador.
“This is going to be a very concentrated effort,” said Fernández. “And it’s one that we’d like to introduce in other coiuntries of Central America once we’ve achieved it in El Salvador.”
