Unopetrol becomes number one in gasoline stations

Unopetrol, the oil and petrochemicals division of Grupo Terra, announced the acquisition of 65 service stations in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Belize from the French company Rubis.

The purchase by the Honduras-based group, places Unopetrol as the leader in gasoline retail in Central America.

Rubis is concentrating on gasoline and butane retail in the Caribbean, having acquired Chevron’s Central American and Caribbean assets last year.
