UnoPetrol, the oil subsidiary of Honduras-based Grupo Terra, has acquired the Texaco-branded Chevron service stations in Nicaragua.
According to unofficial reports, the purchase price came to $50 million. The UnoPetrol stations will compete with those of Esso and the state-owned Petronic, which is growing.
Last year, UnoPetrol bought Shell’s service states in Nicaragua as part of its acquisition of Shell Centroamérica.
