US construction machinery exports up by 28 percent to Central America last year

US construction machinery exports to Central America reached $1.6 billion last year.

The increase amounts to a 24 percent increase, according to the US Association of Equipment Manufacturers.

The association added that it's "important to pass the pending free-trade agreements with Colombia, Korea and Panama to help manufacturers create more US jobs by selling their products to international buyers."
