US telcos mull $400 million investment in Hondutel of Honduras, says TeleGeography

Honduras' dominant telco Hondutel may be getting a helping hand from a number of unnamed US-based telecom companies, reports TeleGeography.
Citing an unconfirmed report from a Honduran news journal, these US companies would like to invest up to $400 million in Hondutel.
Among the various proposals presented to Hondutel to help it regain its financial footing including the management of wireless, Internet access, fiber cabling and power systems.
