Value of Costa Rica's insurance market surges to $1.19 billion

Costa Rica’s insurance market grew by 13 percent last year to $1.19 billion, led by ASSA and Pan-American. In all 13 companies offer 664 policies.

This was the eighth year of a free market in insurance. But, despite the growth rate, some industry sources believe that it could soon be up to three or four times as big.
